West Texas is the quintessential American West. The land is vast, rugged, flat, hilly, mountainous, mined, farmed, grazed and drilled. This gallery depicts scenes from towns that have suffered from something they cannot change, they are a long way from anywhere. If you travel there, you will be struck by how no matter which direction you look, you could film a movie. It is one big Saturday afternoon movie set.
